Lloyd Mhishi is a highly accomplished individual with over thirty years of experience in legal practice, academia, corporate leadership, and authorship. He has worked as an associate and partner in prominent law firms in Zimbabwe and established his own legal practice. With expertise in Conveyancing Law, Corporate and Commercial law, and litigation, he holds three university degrees including LLB (Hons), LLM, and MBA (Finance). Lloyd has been actively involved in legal education, serving as a lecturer at multiple universities and holding positions such as Chairman of the Procedural Law Department at the University of Zimbabwe.
His involvement extends to various organizations where he serves as a Director, including Dawn Properties Limited, Zimbabwe Cricket, FBC Building Society, Ecobank Zimbabwe Limited, Zimsec, and SAZ. He has also held non-executive director roles and was appointed as the lead independent director of African Sun Limited. Lloyd’s expertise in arbitration is evident through his participation in numerous arbitrations and his role on the panel of arbitrators for the Commercial Arbitration Centre, Harare.
Furthermore, he has been appointed to significant roles such as the International Cricket Council Code of Conduct Commission and has chaired and authored reports, including the Mhishi Committee of Enquiry Report on Cricket (2024). His contributions to the legal profession include serving as Councillor and President of the Law Society of Zimbabwe and as Vice Chairman of the Estate Agents Council. Additionally, Lloyd has served on Constitutional Commissions, including the Judicial Service Commission.
